Dear faithful people of Christ the King Lutheran Church,
Juarez Painting continues to work toward completing the original exterior caulking, painting, and repair project which is moving rapidly toward conclusion. They will continue to work in the courtyard area this Saturday and, since Crossing Borders is closed on Monday and Tuesday, August 11 and 12, 2025, they will be able to continue work on those days as well.
We are still waiting for the narthex-memorial garden metal doors to be fabricated and installed.
Thanks to the generous giving of Christ the King members to both the 2024 and 2025 RRR appeals, we have expanded the scope of their work to include three more projects:
Cloister and other external ceilings – cleaning, staining, and repair
HVAC enclosure in Rice parking lot – paint
Outdoor Teak furniture – sanding, repair, and staining
We continue to expect all these projects, with the possible exception of the metal doors, to be completed this month. We are grateful that Gaelyn Lesher continues to oversee these projects. Please feel free to direct any comments and questions to Gaelyn or Pastor Derr.
Finally, please continue pray with us that this work will be pleasing to God and will strengthen our congregation’s ministry and mission in the name of Jesus.
In Christ,
Property and Maintenance Committee
