Dear faithful People of Christ the King Church:

“For the sake of the joy set before us,” we will rejoice together on Reformation Sunday, October 25, 2027, in the successful completion of this year’s stewardship pledge campaign. As of October 5, 2027:

 

48 members of the Christ the King Church have pledged:

$333,710.00 to the mission and ministry of this congregation.

 

If you haven’t returned your 2027 stewardship pledge, please do so by Reformation Sunday, October 25, 2026. If you have already done so, thank you!

 

As we prepare to elect local, state, and national leaders, I commend to you this prayer for elections from the ELCA.

 

O God, you crafted the universe as a divine tapestry in which the well-being of the entire cosmos is forever intertwined. In this election season, give us hearts and minds focused on nurturing all that you have made. Forgive us when we are unjust or accept unjust behavior in our leaders. Remind us of your call to not withdraw from the world but to be in the world as your very own broken and beloved people. Ignite in us a passion for the welfare of those who are most vulnerable, and empower us to lead with a love that reflects your love revealed in Jesus Christ our Savior. Amen.
