Now is the time to consider hosting a Sociable! Serving as a Sociable host is a gift to yourself and to others. Hosts are encouraged to sign up by November 7. Sociables are whatever you can dream – casual to formal, small to large, indoor or outdoor. In your home, at church, at a park, or on the road. Winter, spring, summer or fall. Sociables can be sporty, entertaining, educational, artsy, musical, intergenerational. They can be built around a meal or snacks, but they do not have to involve food. Past Sociables have included Memorial Park Trail Bike Ride, Gourmet Italian Dinner, Literary Café, Beer and Boardgames, Yoga, Thrifting Adventures, and many others.

Get your creative juices flowing! The host plans the Sociable and covers all costs. Guests make a financial contribution to attend the event. Admission prices for Sociables vary from $20-$150 per person, depending on the type of event. All funds generated are donated to our congregation’s mission partners.

If you have an idea for a Sociable or would like more information about how they work, contact Terri Koehler at 713-582-4321 or theresa.m.koehler@uth.tmc.edu
