Dear Beloved Christ the King Community,

As we continue to move through our Lenten journey, our Muslim cousins are traveling through their sacred season of Ramadan.  During this month, they observe a strict fast from dawn until sunset as a private act of worship and spiritual disciple drawing nearer to God and in empathy with those who are suffering.  The fast is broken at the end of each day with prayer and a meal often shared with family and friends.  This meal is called an iftar.

Our spiritual home has been invited to share an Interfaith Iftar Dinner and Dialogue on Tuesday, March 25th from 6-8pm.  We will first talk about scripture and spirituality and then share in an Iftar Dinner together.  This opportunity is open to those 16 years and older.

Please consider joining David and me as we accept this special invitation.  RSVPs are needed and can be given here.

May we draw near to God alongside our Muslim cousins during this time of sacred journey.

Grace and peace, and even more hope,
Pastor Jennifer
