Christmas in June?

It is summer, Beloved CTK Community!

I am now well on my way through Principle 1 of our CTK Summer Road Trip: God Becomes Human for us in Jesus Christ, and the classical playlist for this particular principle has me beginning to feel a lot like its Christmas. This particular playlist contains several beloved Christmas songs that point toward the meaning of our first principle.  What a wonderful reminder of Jesus, God incarnate, who comes to us as a human child to share in our human condition with all of the joys and sorrows it brings!

How is God incarnate with you so far this summer?  Have you noticed God with you as a friend sharing a meal or conversation?  Have you experienced the brilliance of God in places you are visiting, in walks in nature, in waves crashing on the beach, or in sunsets rich in color?  And maybe a bit unexpected, but God can be found right alongside you as you do laundry and pack up for your Summer Road Trip or vacation.  

In our Principle 1 video, Pastor Sergio and I talked about Jesus, the Word, the Verb, becoming flesh, the light in the darkness that cannot be overcome.  What Child is This?....let loving hearts enthrone Him.

May the beginning of you summer glisten with the light that is Jesus, and may that sparkle shine through you into all the world.  Amen
