Deacon Ben Remmert (he/his)

Deacon Ben Remmert was called to serve as the Deacon of Children, Youth, and Family for Christ the King in July 1, 2014. He previously served seven years as Director of Youth and Family Ministry at our sister congregations, Peace Lutheran Church in Pasadena, TX and St. Matthew Lutheran in Dubuque, IA. He holds a bachelor's degree in Development and Family Studies with a minor in counseling from the University of North Texas in Denton. He earned his Master of Arts in Youth, Culture, and Mission from Wartburg Theological Seminary in Dubuque, Iowa. He is ordained by the ELCA as a Minister of Word and Service. Deacon Ben serves on a number of committees such as Texas Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod (TLGCS) SYMBOL representative, Godly Play Houston Network,  TLGCS Candidacy Committee, ELCA Children’s Ministry Team, and TLGCS Consultation Committee. Ben loves playing disc golf, fishing, watching movies, and spending his time with his wife Lindsay and children Asher and Mara. He’s an avid pop culture enthusiast and comic book collector, a fascination he’s enjoyed for over 30 years.
