Christ the King Festival Dinner 2026, “Community Around the Table, Joy in Every Seat” is coming!!!! As part of the three-day Christ the King celebration weekend, the annual CTK Festival Dinner will kick off the festivities. Gather with old friends, new friends, and soon-to-be-friends on Friday, November 20, beginning at 6:30 P.M. for our annual celebration of community. In addition to food and fun, the festivities will include several raffle drawings, Wine Pull, the ever-popular Sociable Sign-ups, and a newly added Trivia Game featuring Christ the King Church Trivia! All proceeds will benefit Community Ministry Partners of Christ the King. Tickets will be $25/person to cover dinner. Participants are asked to bring a bottle of wine or dessert to share. Iced tea and mocktails will be provided. Free childcare will be available – please let us know how many children will be coming by November 14th. What is a Sociable?
At the Festival you will have the opportunity to reserve your spot for one or more Sociables. Some are small gatherings – for example, a guided tour for 6 people of Bayou Bend, the Museum of Fine Arts Houston’s house museum for American decorative arts and paintings. Some are large gatherings – for example, 4-weeks of dance lessons (social dance, cha-cha, and waltz) for 45 people at the Rice Village Campus Parish Hall. New Sociables this year include Challah Baking, a Boat Tour of Buffalo Bayou, a parent-child Christmas Shopping trip to the Memorial Area Ministries Resale Shop, Frolicking with Goats at a unique Beer Garden, a Tai Chi lesson, and a Fondue Party in a high rise overlooking downtown. Plus many more!!!
All Sociables are offered by CtK members who plan the event and cover all costs. When you sign up for a Sociable, you make a financial contribution to attend. Admission prices vary from $10 to $150. 100% of the funds generated will be donated to our congregation’s community partners.
