Weather Update as of Jan. 24, 2026
Dear faithful people of Christ the King Lutheran Church:
There will be no in-person worship services and events tomorrow, Sunday, January 25, 2026. Due to dropping temperatures and worsening ice conditions over night, we are canceling those Sunday in-person liturgies.
Our 6:00 pm Contemplative Holy Communion service will be celebrated as usual, and Pastor Robert Moore will preside at that service.
At 11:00 am on Sunday, January 25, we will re-broadcast our service from January 22, 2023, with the same readings, hymns and prayers and music and pastoral leadership that we have in-person this Third Sunday after Epiphany.
The church office will also be closed on Monday, January 26, 2026.
Please remain safe during these severe weather conditions and please pray for all who are facing these conditions.
Gracious God, keep us and all who must face harsh weather safe and secure. Bless all who must live, serve, or work outdoors in these conditions, especially emergency and public safety workers; through Jesus Christ, our Savior and Lord. Amen.
Peace and Joy – and Safety,
Amandus J. Derr
Interim Senior Pastor
