Pride Book Event

Author and historian William Stell will be at Palmer Memorial Episcopal Church on June 3, 2026 at 7:00pm to discuss this book Born Again Queer. Stell has written an informative history of evangelical gay activism in the 1970s and 1980s and in so doing, undermines the common assumption that the evangelical movement has always been non-affirming of LGBTQ persons. At the heart of this book is a powerful message: we must move beyond the all-too-common conception of evangelicalism as pure adherence to “what the Bible says.” The discussion will be held in St. Bede’s Chapel with a reception to follow.
