On Saturday evening, September 13, and Sunday morning, September 14, we will give thanks to God for the ministry of Pastor Sergio Rodriguez and bid farewell to him and his husband, Justin Sanchez.
Farewells like this, when a pastor receives and takes another call, are always a mixture of sadness and joy. Sadness because we are losing part of our family, and joy because we see them moving forward in their vocation. Please join us on any or all of these occasions to give thanks to God and rejoice together with Sergio and Justin.
Sergio will preside at the contemplative liturgy on Saturday evening, and a reception will follow; and he will preach at both 8:30 a.m. and 11:00 a.m. on Sunday morning and a reception will occur between those two liturgies.
