We're now halfway through 2025's volunteering shifts at the Houston Food Bank and looking forward to the second half of the year!

The Christ the King group had a great May session with 12 outstanding volunteers helping to set a (non-military) record for production in a single shift on the Senior Boxes project!

The team played a big part in putting together 945 boxes of food (30,340 pounds!) for area seniors in need. By stocking all those boxes, the team helped to provide 25,500 meals for seniors who receive the boxes of cereal, canned fruits and vegetables, milk, meat, rice and more on a monthly basis. Great job by our volunteers!

We look forward to doing it all again at the next outing on Saturday, July 12 from 8 a.m. to noon where we'll all be jockeying for a spot under the nearest industrial-grade fan. Please let us know if you plan to join us!
