Veterans Day is November 11. November 1-11 we pray, thank, and care for military service members and veterans. Their “journey home” is not complete until we whom they’ve served have our ears and hearts fully open and welcoming and supportive.
Weekdays at 8:30 a.m. November 1-11, a “prayer moment” will be held outside our nave at the corner of Rice and Greenbriar. At the conclusion of each morning, we’ll hang 22 symbolic dog tags on a special tree. At 8:30 a.m., Saturday, November 11, a Veterans Day Service of Thanksgiving and Intercession will be held in the nave, open to the wider community. Veterans from CTK will help plan and lead this event. Share the news. Join us in prayer as CTK begins to reflect with more focus on how we authentically can be a healing place for Service Members and veterans.
