Easter Greetings, Beloved Christ the King Community!
On Sunday, we heard Mary Magdalene, the apostle to the apostles, declare, "I have seen the Lord!"
What does this mean for us as God's resurrection people?
If you were with us in-person on Easter Sunday morning, you were offered a pouch of sunflower seeds. As you plant them or any other spring flower, you might consider reflecting upon the death and resurrection of Jesus. What does it feel like to wait while those seeds are watered, before any green shoot pushes up in the soil? How about when the first shoots poke up? Or when the first leaves open, and the shells fall off the new leaves? Notice any feelings of doubt or excitement or hope or impatience. Reflect on the feelings and observations you are making with your sunflower plants as to how they might relate to your own faith journey.
Remember, Together We Bloom. Your faith journey is both individual and shared in community. In this springtime of growth, we hope you find many ways for your faith journey to be cultivated here at your CTK spiritual home.
One upcoming opportunity for togetherness will be our Spring Clean Up day on Saturday, April 20th. Please come and share time together, while beautifying our campuses. I can't wait to see you there!
Grace and peace and even more hope!
