Dear Faithful People of Christ the King Church:

2 Grace to you and peace from God our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ.

3 I thank my God for every remembrance of you, 4 always in every one of my prayers for all of you, praying with joy 5 for your partnership in the gospel from the first day until now. 6 I am confident of this, that the one who began a good work in you will continue to complete it until the day of Jesus Christ. 7 It is right for me to think this way about all of you, because I hold you in my heart, for all of you are my partners in God’s grace …

--- Philippians 1: 2-7a (from our Friday Bible Study)

Paul’s thanksgiving (above) is my thanksgiving for you, especially for your grace-filled and generous response to our 2026 Generosity/Stewardship Commitment Sunday, but also for your incredible witness of faithful worship and fearless ministry to others. This is truly a place where “the One who began a good work in you will continue to complete it,” and I am grateful to serve among you.

As you receive this, Carole and I will begin a long-planned (before my current pastoral responsibilities were known) annual vacation with several of our long-time friends. Pastor David Roschke will provide needed pastoral care and preach and preside next Sunday.  You will continue to be in our daily, thankful prayers.

Peace and Joy, -- and Courage!
