Grace Notes: February 2, 2026

Dear Faithful People of Christ the King Lutheran Church,

Please note: Beginning yesterday evening, Carole and I are away through this coming Thursday evening (February 1 -4) assisting our son Jonathan as he moves to a new apartment. In case of pastoral care needs, please contact Deacon Ben Remmert or Pastor David Roschke. I will be back to lead the Friday Bible Study and for next weekend’s liturgies.

This week, our congregation is less busy than usual, but our “busy-ness is about to begin again. Please mark your calendars for:

February 15: Transfiguration, the last Sunday after Epiphany.

From 9:45-10:45 a.m. between 8:30 and 11:00 a.m. liturgies, Part 2, ANNUAL CONGREGATION MEETING. Agenda includes

·        Election of voting members for Synod Assembly

·        Presentation of 2025 Annual Report

·        Start of 2025 Stewardship Program

12:30 p.m., following 11:00 a.m. liturgy Carnival Brunch

February 18: ASH WEDNESDAY

12:15 p.m. Imposition of Ashes followed by lunch

7:00 p.m.  Imposition of Ashes and Holy Communion

Ashes to go and service to use at home are available in the Narthex beginning next Saturday, February 7 and Sunday, February 8, 2026
