Daniel Zorn’s willingness to serve on the Christ the King’s Congregation
Council is an extension of his values and interests currently serving
Christ as a member of the church’s Worship & Music Committee (2023 –
present); an assisting minister for the Contemplative Worship and
Service of Healing (2019 – present); and chair of the 2023-2025 Strategic
Plan Oversight Commission, of which he facilitated the Strategic
Planning Team in 2022. He looks beyond Christ the King Church’s
80th anniversary (2025) and how his leadership will help to advance the
congregation’s vision for ministry.
Daniel is a native Texan and a life-long Lutheran born in Galveston –
baptized and confirmed at First Evangelical Lutheran Church (Galveston)
- before moving to Houston and joining Christ the King Church in 1998.
He holds a Master of Arts in organizational leadership from Saint Mary’s
University of Minnesota having completed baccalaureate studies at
Southwestern University at Georgetown, Texas. A 30+ year career in
nonprofit management brings the Council expertise in donor and
leadership development; constituent development and relations;
program and budget planning; and communications and marketing.
Daniel is a champion for creating mutual dialogue with opportunities for
both listening and sharing which lead to a shared vision.
