Greetings, Beloved Christ the King Community!
February is upon us and Dinner Church returns. What is Dinner Church? It is a fun opportunity to gather together, to pray, to share a meal and meaningful conversation, to explore scripture, and to worship.
This Wednesday, February 5th, we will hold Dinner Church at our Memorial Campus (12211 Memorial Drive Houston, Texas, 77024) from 6-8pm.
Then on Wednesday, February 19th, we will hold Dinner Church at our Rice Village Campus (2353 Rice Blvd. Houston, Texas 77005 ) from 6-8pm, and this one will be “Kids and Kin” style. What is this? We are bringing our fun camp-style worship to Dinner Church, sharing a meal together, and then kids will continue with Deacon Ben for learning and service. Do you have to be a kid to attend? Not at all. Adults share in worship and mealtime together and then might head to choir practice, stay for fellowship, or help with the service project.
If you have not experienced Dinner Church before, Now is the Time!
Throughout the spring, our scripture at Dinner Church will focus on stories from the Gospel of Luke that we do not hear on Sunday mornings. There is no better time to come and gather in community together.
Hebrews 10:23-25
“Let us hold fast to the confession of our hope without wavering, for he who has promised is faithful. And let us consider how to provoke one another to love and good deeds, not neglecting to meet together, as is the habit of some, but encouraging one another, and all the more as you see the Day approaching.”
Grace and peace, and even more hope,
Pastor Jennifer
