On the 4th Sunday in Advent, we look towards Bethlehem for God’s coming reign of peace. Micah the prophet anticipates the arrival of such a reign in the most unexpected way. From the least and lowly of all the cities of Judah, Bethlehem (Mic 5:2), the coming bringer of peace shall come like that of David. Elizabeth greets Mary in joy that such a reign has to her midst (Lk 1:43-45). Our own baptisms guide us to perceive God’s peace wrapped in swaddling clothes. Join in the readings of Micah 5:2-5a (Sermon text), Hebrews 10:5-10, and Luke 1:39-55. Pr. Sergio Rodriguez is preaching and baptizing. Pr. Amandus Derr is presiding.

At the start of the 11:00 a.m. service, we will join parents Quentin and Whitney Adams as we witness and affirms the baptism of their son Leo Samuel Adams. We will also install our newly elected congregational council and all are welcome to meet and greet the newly elected officers in the courtyard after worship.

You may choose to participate in the 11:00 a.m. worship livestream via Facebook or YouTube. You may also access the archived services anytime after.
