As part of this year’s celebration, we invite members and friends to join us in volunteering at the HFB on September 11. In July we had a good time working on the scan-a-can project and entering hundreds upon hundreds of pounds of food into the food bank’s donation inventory.

• Because of volunteers like us (between March 2020-July 2021):
  349 million pounds of food and product were provided to children, families and seniors in southeast Texas.
• 136 million pounds of produce were distributed to the community.
• 3,877-894 ready to eat meals were provided through the Kids Café program.

The HFB is one of our region’s primary “essential” services and all Covid protocols are observed.
