On the first and second Saturdays of the month at 6:00 p.m. the Taizé services emphasize the healing power of the good news in Jesus Christ. The Prayer around the Cross points to the suffering of the world and gives thanks to God for hearing the cries of the people. A large wooden cross on the floor of the nave invites worshipers for prayer and meditation. The Prayer for Healing focuses on the baptismal life in light of Christ’s resurrection. At this service a healing blessing with laying on of hands and anointing is offered. The first two Saturdays in August are August 1 (Cross) and August 8(Healing Blessing).
