This final forum of a three-part series led by Jessica Locheed  explores the role that art played at a very crucial moment of Christianity.

January 24
Week three will address the response by the Catholic Church which produced what is known as Counter-Reformation art. We will be looking at artists like Caravaggio, Velasquez and Bernini. We will also discuss the notion of the Inquisition and some of the strict regulations that were imposed on artists in light of the Counter-Reformation.
