Dietrich Bonhoeffer composed a famous hymn that we have sung often. “He comes to us as one unknown.” Yes, this happens. Jesus said it would be so. He comes unknown in the clothes of the hungry, the lonely, the neighbor from anywhere for whom our talents and gifts are intended by God. But this is not the only way Christ comes to us. He comes to us as one who is known, if yet unexpected. That is how the disciples received him even a third time after the resurrection. Christ shows his wounds. He eats their food. He rehearses his life story and purpose. They are his witnesses. So are we. Pastor Larson shares how so as we continue to celebrate Easter this Sunday at 11am online via YouTube and Facebook. and physically gathered outside. Jesus Christ is and will be with us.
