Women in Transition

Are you a woman fifty or older and curious about exploring the question “What’s next in my life?” Are you considering retirement, newly retired, or facing other milestone transitions, opportunities, or responsibilities? If so, you are invited to consider membership in the Women in Transitions Group, an interactive group where women inspire and support each other to continue a life of learning and engagement. The idea for this group originated from a workshop sponsored by The Transition Network, an organization that encourages like-minded groups of women to focus on mutual interests, support and friendships.

Our Transition Group meets the second Monday of each month at 1:00 PM (omitting June, July and August) in the homes of individual members. The social component is an important feature of the group, which nurtures both new and ongoing friendships through sharing, including member provided refreshments.  Members decide on the program topic several months in advance and presentations are given by participants or guests from the community. Topics vary depending on the interests of the group. We continue to explore topics such as planning for the future: financially and legally, what is meant by leaving a legacy, healthy living, spiritual growth, transitions involving self and family, graceful aging, and other areas of interest. If you would like more information about the Women Transition Group at CTK, please contact the church office and they will connect you with the current communications secretary of the group. Together we are discovering new ways of facing our present and future challenges and opportunities!
