Join Rev. Dr. Beth Marie Halvorsen to explore a fresh interpretation of the Samaritan Woman by recognizing our possible biases, gaining a fuller sense of history, and moving into greater breadth and depth in our own lives.
Many of us have heard and read the story of the Samaritan woman at the well, who wondered about this Jewish man without a bucket proclaiming, “but whoever drinks the water I shall give will never thirst; the water I shall give will become in him a spring of water welling up to eternal life,” from the book of John 4:14. Yet, there is a deeper message in this story that God is trying to tell us about our own lives today.
