Poor People’s Campaign: A National Call for Moral Revival – Saturday, June 20

Saturday, June 20, 9:00 am  and 5:00pm (local time)
Sunday, June 21 at 5:00 pm

The Mass Poor People’s Assembly and Moral March on Washington will be an historic digital event.

This will be the largest digital and social media gathering of poor and low-income people, moral and religious leaders, advocates, and people of conscience in this nation’s history. A global pandemic is exposing even more the already existing crisis of systemic racism, poverty, ecological devastation, the war economy and militarism, and the distorted moral narrative of religious nationalism. On June 20, the 140 million poor and low-income people across this nation will be heard!

In this unprecedented moment, we must tell the truth about the dire failures of our political leaders. We must also demonstrate that it is the leadership emerging from our communities that is paving a different way forward.

History teaches us that it is exactly in moments like these that a movement of the many is necessary to force the nation into action and that the key to real and lasting change lies in our ability to come together in new and bold ways.
