Thursday evenings from 7:00 p.m. – 9:00 p.m., April 22- May 13
Members and friends of CTK are invited to join Pastor Larson in a Zoom class on Thursday evenings reading one of the most influential recent texts that constructively puts Christian theology in conversation with contemporary science, The Faith of a Physicist by John Polkinghorne. It is a serious read. We will be introduced to waves of various theologians and scientists along the way, all of them concerned (as are we) about how to understand and state the faith in a way that fits the 21st century scientific mind.
Published in 1994, the book is available in a number of different editions, including Kindle. Because there will be much to talk about, the class is expanded to two hours for each of the four sessions, averaging about 50 pages to be read for each evening’s lecture and discussion. Please read the Introduction and chapters 1 & 2 before the first session. Register for the class by emailing Cheryl at firstname.lastname@example.org. The Zoom link will be provided closer to the class start. Further questions? Of course, please write Pastor Duane at email@example.com
