The habit of gardening brings to life the insight of the Psalmist about the finite span of life. Like the basil herb, we are cultivated by God’s everlasting grace only but a moment. The story of the Two Old women give us such a wisdom for us to attend to; wisdom of cultivating habits and relationships during the labor of our lives. As we celebrate Indigenous heritage month, we are invited to cultivate habits of grace such as gardening. Join Intern Sergio Rodriguez once more at his herb garden for story and gardening. Rick Erickson offers a musical gift from the Dakota; Many and Great, O God.
