Recent changes in immigration law, the process for gaining permanent legal status, the legal meaning of “refugee” and DACA (Deferred Action for Childhood Arrival) will be covered in a forum at 4:00 p.m. on Sunday, July 28 at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, 4930 W. Bellfort Ave.
Immigration attorney Javier Rivera and Bishop Michael Rinehart of the Gulf Coast Synod of the ELCA will be joining us. Bishop Rinehart recently served on the board of the Lutheran Immigration and Refugee Services.
