6:15 PM Early Christian History
–
December 4, 2013
After a delicious and blessed dinner on Wednesday evenings this fall, why not join the class on early Christian history and find out about potluck in the early church (1 Cor. 11:21)? No more of prophets declaring gloom and doom, but heroic Christians facing the lions in the arena! We will study the first half of Justo L. Gonzalez’ The Story of Christianity and find out about Montanism (New Prophecy) which had women priests and bishops, about what really went on at the Council of Nicea, about Ambrose’s election as bishop before he had even been baptized! Kristine Wallace will even enliven our study of monasticism with a rendition of the delightful patter song, “Thais”.
