12 noon Lunch with Eboo Patel

June 12, 2013

2013 Religious Leaders Institute Program Luncheon
with Eboo Patel at Christ the King Church
The Anti-Defamation League (ADL) and its Coalition for Mutual Respect invite to the 2013 Religious Leaders Institute (RLI) Program on Wednesday, June 12, 2013, 12:00 - 2:00 PM at Christ the King Lutheran Church. It will feature  Eboo Patel, Founder & President of Interfaith Youth Core. Youth and young adults are encouraged to attend the event.
boo Patel’s core belief is that religion is a bridge of cooperation rather than a barrier of division. He is inspired to build this bridge by his faith as a Muslim, his Indian heritage, and his American citizenship. He has spoken about this vision at places like the TED conference, the Clinton Global Initiative, and the Nobel Peace Prize Forum, as well as college and university campuses across the country. Eboo Patel is a member of President Barack Obama’s inaugural Advisory Council on Faith-Based Neighborhood Partnerships. He has written two books about interfaith cooperation, Acts of Faith and Sacred Ground. Some people ask if Eboo ever stops talking about interfaith. If it’s any indication, his five-year-old son can define interfaith cooperation. RSVP’s required to Angela Atlas at aatlas@adl.org. The program is complimentary and lunch will be served. The first 20 people to RSVP will receive a complimentary copy of Eboo Patel’s book, Sacred Ground. The books will be distributed at the luncheon.
Bishop Mike Rinehart and Pastor Steve Quill of the Texas Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod of the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America are board members of the Anti Defamation League.
