BakerRipley’s Immigration and Citizenship Program is providing legal orientations and assistance to families seeking Asylum in the United States, as well as addressing basic needs for families immediately upon their arrival to Houston. This is where they need our help!
During the next few months, we will host an ongoing donation drive to create basic needs “go bags” for recently arrived families. Many of these families have not eaten a full meal, showered, or changed clothes in several days before their arrival to Houston, and these “go bags” will serve as a tremendous support to get families connected to basic needs and food as they start to take the next steps of settling into Houston.
We are seeking donations for the following items:
- Toiletries, New backpacks, New unisex sweatshirts and t-shirts, Diapers (any size), Baby wipes, Masks, Hand sanitizer, New undergarments (socks/underwear)
There are two ways you can support with donations, either by
- ordering online through the Amazon Wish List
- In-person donation drop off on Sundays or contact beverlydavis@ctkelc.org for weekday drop off at Christ the King Church.
Thank you for your support of our neighbors in need
