Final Midweek Meditation with New Music Associate Ben Kerswell

In our final Midweek Meditation, let’s get to know our new music associate, Ben Kerswell, by revisiting his Meditation offering from this past Advent season. Ben shares a 4 piece program of works by Dietrich Buxtehude and J.S. Bach including “Nun komm, der Heiden Heiland”.

Ben is pursuing his Doctorate in Organ Performance at the Shepherd School of Music at RiceUniversity, where he studied with Ken Cowan, having previously completed his Masters Degree at the Shepherd School of Music. An active recitalist, Ben performed as a Rising Star at the 2018 National AGO Convention in Kansas City, and he was a semi-finalist in the National Young Artists Competition in Organ Performance. He currently holds the position of Organ Scholar at St. Paul’s United Methodist Church in Houston, TX.
