There are educational programs provided for all ages every Sunday morning, 9:30 a.m. – 10:30 a.m. The nursery is available for children under three.
Children meet for Sunday Church School classes from toddler age to grade 6. These classes are taught using the Godly Play curriculum which teaches children fluency in the Christian language and faith traditions. The children learn the sacred stories, Jesus’ stories, about church and saints, worship, and the holidays. Each lesson has the same four steps: the story /wondering response, creative work, a small feast, and blessing/sending. Each Godly Play class is co-led by two teachers. Toddlers and pre-K/Kindergarten classrooms are located on the first floor, grades 1 – 6 meet on the second floor of the ministry building.
Youth grades 7-8 meet for fellowship, thematic emphases, Confirmation Class homework support, and planning of retreats and service projects. Once a semester students, parents and sponsors meet for breakfast that the students prepare and have special guest speakers and/or topics of interests. The class is held in room 201 (council room).
Youth in grades 9 -12 meet for breakfast and discussion of current topics and Bible study related to the day’s scripture readings and free donuts and coffee provided. Bill Burgess and Sunday School team lead the class in basement room.
Adults meet for Sunday Forum to hear speakers on a variety of topics, including theology, Bible study, church policy, church history, social justice, and contemporary issues in basement room 006 or the parish hall.
In addition, study classes are offered periodically studying books of the Bible, core texts and themes of the Christian tradition. These classes meet in the second floor council room.
