The coronavirus (COVID-19) is a hunger crisis. Fifty-four million Americans are estimated to become food insecure by the end of the year, according to Feeding America. The U.N. World Food Programme reports that the number of people globally facing a hunger crisis could double to 265 million.
Access to nutrition is vital in responding to COVID-19. Bread members are urging Congress to prioritize investing in nutrition in the stimulus bill.
