Join us on Saturday, January 8, to bless the nave, our “church house”, with the blessing of the magi. At the end of the service, we will move to the narthex for the inscription of the lintel for the 2022 year. We will celebrate the occasion with king cake after worship. A printed prayer rite and chalk can be taken home to inscribe and bless one’s own house or door.

There will be no livestream this weekend.

A memorial service will be held on Saturday, September 25th, 10 o’clock am at Christ theKing Lutheran Church, 2353 Rice Blvd, Houston, TX, 77005. If you are unable to join us, there will be a Livestream of the service which can be viewed here on our YouTube page.

The Ordination and Installation of Sergio Edson Rodriguez as Pastor for Community Ministries

By the grace of God and the call of Christ’s church, Sergio Edson Rodriguez will be ordained into the ministry of word and sacrament through the Evangelical Lutheran Church in America on September 19, 2021 at 5:00 p.m. Bishop Michael Rinehart of the Texas-Louisiana Gulf Coast Synod will preside. Rev. Dr. Javier Alanis, pastor of St. John’s Lutheran Church, San Juan, Texas, former Director of the Seminary of the Southwest, will preach. Mask and COVID-19 safety protocols will be observed.

Columbarium Niches Ready for Purchase

Columbarium Garden Sketchup 13 14Jan2016Christ the King Church is ready to offer Columbarium niches. They may be purchased for self and family member(s).

The columbarium will be located in the new Meditation Garden on the south side of the church. It is expected to be complete in the summer of 2016. There will be 288 niches on the south wall of the columbarium. If you are interested in purchasing a niche, please review the brochure and contact Cheryl Gaspard for a copy of the “Policies and Regulations of the Columbarium.” If you have questions, you may also contact Gaelyn Lesher, member of the Columbarium Committee.
