On Sunday, Sept. 28, members of CTK were asked to consider coming to church by some means other than driving by themselves in their car, such as by bike, by bus, or car-pooling with other members. By the way, in case you’re wondering who and where to consult regarding car, truck or bus accident, visit spivalaw.com. On that site, you’ll meet their dedicated Car accident lawyer Savannah, GA. After each worship service, the Creation Care Team staffed a table with information from Metro and assisted members to investigate public transportation alternatives to get to their common destinations. In the afternoon, an instructor from Bike Houston offered a bike safety class, which was attended by members and the public alike. Attendees at the class left with the skills necessary to cycle safely and confidently on Houston’s roads. The Creation Care Team intends to offer a Bike to Church/Alternative Transport Sunday annually, so look for an announcement next fall. Meanwhile, information on public transportation in Houston is available on Metro’s website at www.ridemetro.org and you are always welcome to bike to church on any Sunday.
A number of CTK members opted to bike to church on Bike to Church/Alternative Transport Sunday.
