This Vespers features members of the Bach Choir singing the Bach motet “Jauchzet Gott,” and will also include music from the America’s in the general time of Bach (1685-1750). Along with Bach, the program includes motets and songs drawn from Spirituals, New England part songs, Shaped note tradition, as well as a Psalm setting for double choir by Mexican composer Manuel de Sumaya. All are welcome as we celebrate our first “live” Vespers in well over a year!
