Lutherhill at Christ the King Church November 8
On Sunday, November 8 Matt Kindsvatter, executive director of the synod’s outdoor camp Lutherhill of La Grange, Texas will worship at Christ the King Church. Together with staff representatives he will present the camp program to parents, youth and adults.
At 9:45 a.m. parents of school age children and youth will meet for breakfast in the council room on the second floor to learn about summer camp and weekend programs for children and youth. All confirmation students (including rising 7th graders) will participate in a week of confirmation camp at Lutherhill.
At 12:30 p.m. all adults interested in retreat programs are invited to a light lunch in the council room to learn about adult offerings at Lutherhill and the new campus on Galveston Island, Zion Lutheran. Lutherhill offers a variety of programmed retreat weekends and also simply space for church groups.
Creation Care Retreat at Lutherhill November 6-8
Lutherhill and the Creation Care Team invite to a weekend of renewal in the beauty of God’s good creation in LaGrange, TX, November 6-8. Beginning Friday evening and ending Sunday morning the topic will be environmental justice. The retreat includes guided nature walks, a hands-on outdoor service project, time for individual devotions, contemplation, and recreation, as well as group study, discussion, and worship. Register at: www.lutherhill.org. The event is open to adults and youth 10+, when accompanied by an adult. It is possible to attend only Friday–Saturday.
Jr. High Retreat at Lutherhill: November 13-15
Students in 6th-8th grade are invited to grow in their faith during an awesome, fun-filled weekend of inspiring worships, small group discussions, and fellowship. This is a weekend you don’t want to miss as all our middle school students from around the synod are invited to attend. Cost is $130 which covers food, transportation, housing, and activities.
