A Course on Worship,

Wednesdays (May 14 – June 4) at 6:15-7:30 p.m.
or Thursdays (May 15 – June 5) at 6:15-7:30 p.m.
in the second floor council room.

Join Director of Worship Mark Mummert and guest lecturer Dr. Timothy Wengert (on May 21) for a four-week course on worship. Focus will be the center of Christian worship especially in its Lutheran expression. The textbook: Centripetal Worship: The Evangelical Heart of Lutheran Worship considers how the assembly at worship is oriented toward word and sacrament, how music oriented to that center has power, how participation in worship assembles people in faith, and how worship is evangelism, or attending to the margins. The course textbook includes essays by Dr. Wengert, Mark Mummert, Dirk Lange, and Melinda Quivik. The book is available for $10 in the narthex and through Amazon.com.
