This week all children will spend their time working on the Lego Luther Rose and other projects, and will finish with a feast. Anyone who is curious about the Godly Play feast is welcome to join us at 9:45 a.m. in room 212. Our goal is still to finish one row each week in the giant Lego Luther Rose.
Stop by the Crafts Workshop!
A local church was just about to begin a Godly Play program when Harvey totally destroyed their building and all their Godly Play items. They are determined to begin in the fall in their temporary quarters. We are helping to make lesson materials for them, so all who can help paint items, cut felt, nail and glue wood, etc. are invited to stop by our “shop” in room 212 at 9:45 on Sundays. It would be helpful to contact Marie Monroe at to schedule the larger projects.
In June parents of our youngest children will have the opportunity to meet with ministry staff to talk about visions for children’s ministry at Christ the King Church. Please join us for in “faithful imagination” conversation.
Wednesday, June 13, 7-8:30 p.m., wine, cheese, and conversation, location tba
Please rsvp for a head count.
The youth group of Christ the King Church, Luther League, invites everyone to a fancy night out at church! Come together for a warm luau during the cold month of February with beach sunset scenery and a luau competition. Chef Nathaniel Winston will again pull out all the stops and create a four course meal. This fundraiser supports the 2019 summer trip to Germany for which 20 youth have signed up. Seating is available for individuals, pairs, and small and large groups. Individual tickets are $50, $90 for two. A table is $300 (seven people). Free childcare is available. Email Deacon Ben Remmert to RSVP.
