This week all children will spend their time working on the Lego Luther Rose and other projects, and will finish with a feast. Anyone who is curious about the Godly Play feast is welcome to join us at 9:45 a.m. in room 212. Our goal is still to finish one row each week in the giant Lego Luther Rose.
Stop by the Crafts Workshop!
A local church was just about to begin a Godly Play program when Harvey totally destroyed their building and all their Godly Play items. They are determined to begin in the fall in their temporary quarters. We are helping to make lesson materials for them, so all who can help paint items, cut felt, nail and glue wood, etc. are invited to stop by our “shop” in room 212 at 9:45 on Sundays. It would be helpful to contact Marie Monroe at to schedule the larger projects.
Pastor Liebster will hold a communion class for young children from age 3 with parents on Sunday April 6 at 9:50 a.m. in the second floor children’s library. Holy Communion will be explained and experienced in age appropriate ways. The class will include demonstration of grains and sharing of bread and grapes. All children are invited, those already communing and those preparing for their first communion.
Wednesday Night Alive! Dinner will be served starting at 5:30 p.m. until 7:00 p.m.

Godly Play is not only for the young and youngest children; it comes full circle for kids who are growing up to soon be teenagers! Children in grades 4, 5 and 6 will be taught in the new Godly Play class room 210 on the second floor. At this age the children will hear the familiar stories of the people of Israel, the stories Jesus told in parables and the stories around the Christian holidays in new ways. The stories will sometimes be put together in ways that create a whole new view of what we thought we already knew (Synthesis stories). Sometimes the children will get to put together a new lesson – the part that has not been written yet in the story of God and God’s children. The class will be given tasks to help with the younger classes and do service oriented activities.
