Get off to a good start in the summer! Join us for a pizza and ice cream social on Sunday night, June 1, at 6:00 p.m. in the parish hall and courtyard. All families with children and youth are invited. Pizza, ice cream, water, and tea will be provided. Bring your favorite toppings to share!! A group activity on favorite places and games will be included. Please rsvp to the church office.
Children in Kindergarten through 6th grade and their parents, godparents and grandparents are invited to experience The Three Days together in an afternoon’s time, Saturday, April 5, 3:00 – 5:00 p.m. in the parish hall. Activities include bread baking, prayer at the cross, candle making, Jonah story and song, and a feast with bread from the oven. In preparation for The Three Days celebration each activity demonstrates a step on the way through the meaning of Maundy Thursday, Good Friday, and Easter Vigil. Children and parents are invited to then participate in The Three Days in “real time” April 17, 18, 19 and 20. All are welcome on Saturday, April 5; rsvp to the church office or Pr. Karin Liebster is appreciated.

Volunteers are always welcome as greeters, chefs and sous chefs; and to help serve and clean in the kitchen.
All children up to sixth grade will be registered for a fee of $30 per child per semester and a $60 cap per family per semester. The Music Explorers classes (infants through preschool) carry an additional fee of $25 per child per semester with a $50 cap per family per semester.
Join us on Sunday, August 25 at 9:45 a.m. in the parish hall for breakfast and the start of our Sunday Church School year. Sunday School classes are offered for children and youth ages 2 – high school. Bibles will be presented to third graders, confirmands will be introduced, children will meet their teachers. The children of Sunday School and Wednesday Night music programs will present a Christmas Pageant on Sunday, December 16 at 10:00 a.m. in the parish hall. All are invited. They will sing the Quempas Carol, a delightful, dance-like carol beloved in Germany before and after Martin Luther. It combines three Latin carols, the first being Quem pastores, hence the title “Quempas.” The children will sing the three songs in English translation starting out with “He whom shepherds once came praising.” The audience will join in with the refrain: “God’s own Son is born a child, is born a child, God the Father is reconciled, is reconciled.”
Rehearsal will be Sunday, December 9 in the parish hall, and dress rehearsal on Wednesday, December 12 at 6:00 p.m. in the parish hall. Pizza will be offered at 5:30 p.m. All children are welcome to participate in the pageant. Those who could not attend rehearsals may participate without singing. Call time on December 16 is 9:30 a.m.; the show time will be 10:00 a.m.
