The Houston Brass Band and Saengerbund conclude the first Leipzig in Houston Festival Week, presenting an Oktoberfest Konzert which will include a variety of polkas, marches, and German drinking songs, along with Strauss’ Wiener Philarmoniker Fanfare, Wagner’s Lohengrin, von Suppe’s Poet and Peasant Overture. Admission is free.
Luther League youth and parents will prepare and serve brats and beer after the concert. Please support our youth group with a generous donation toward their 2017 trip to Wittenberg, German and the Wittenberg Three Project of the congregation.
Join us for breakfast tacos in the courtyard and the start of our new Sunday School year. Sunday School classes are offered for children and youth ages two through high school. Children, youth, and adults will meet in the parish hall and then children will go to their classrooms to meet their teachers and have class pictures taken. Parents wanting their children to newly join Sunday School or Confirmation class please contact Pastor Liebster.
