On Sunday, November 13, noon, a light lunch will be provided for any inquirers about membership. No classes are required for baptized Christians who wish to join Christ the King Church. This orientation will last about an hour. New members will be received at worship on November 20 as part of our grand Christ the King Festival Weekend, along with all current members who wish to re-dedicate themselves as members of Christ the King Church’s mission. We welcome Pastor Duane Larson and wife Joen to Christ the King Church. Pastor Larson will serve as head of staff during the search process for the senior pastor. Pastor Larson reports to the council as does the seach committee. Continue reading
The columbarium will be located in the new Meditation Garden on the south side of the church. It is expected to be complete in the summer of 2016. There will be 288 niches on the south wall of the columbarium. If you are interested in purchasing a niche, please review the brochure and contact Cheryl Gaspard for a copy of the “Policies and Regulations of the Columbarium.” If you have questions, you may also contact Gaelyn Lesher, member of the Columbarium Committee.
Part II of the annual congregational meeting will be held on February 21 at 12:30 p.m. in the parish hall. On the agenda are the 2015 annual reports, updates on the Capital Campaign and construction, the adoption of the 2016 budget and the 2016 Missional Emphases. Everyone is strongly encouraged to attend.
